Gallery 96 opens spring exhibition

Gallery 96 Art Center will host an opening reception for its spring exhibition “Recycled Art” on Friday, May 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Shoreview Library, 4560 Victoria St. N. The show will feature a variety of media — from painting to pottery — with all pieces using up-cycled, repurposed and reclaimed components.

Visitors can see work from over 30 local artists. The reception provides an opportunity to meet and network with these artists, all while enjoying free refreshments and listening to comments by the show’s juror, artist and educator Amy Clark.

Clark, who is based in St. Paul, enjoys creating a variety of paintings, murals and garden designs. Much like her personality, Amy’s art is bright, positive and energizing. Her work can be seen at the AZ Gallery in Lowertown and as part of the Shoreview Library’s permanent collection. To learn more about Amy Clark go to www.amyclarkartstpaul.com.

The “Recycled Art” exhibition can be viewed during regular library hours, from May 10 through June 21. The opening is free and open to the public. For more information go to www.Gallery96.org.
