Volleyball: Hill-Murray advances in section playoffs

St. Paul Central visited Hill-Murray High School Friday, Oct. 25, for a Section 4AA quarterfinal volleyball match, and like Washington Technical Magnet School before them, the Minutemen fell victims to the versatile Hill-Murray attack.
The Pioneers launched a methodically varied offense and combined that with a defense that the Central girls found nearly impossible to penetrate.
As a result, the Minutemen fell 3-0.


Volleyball: Pioneers find a way to sideline Polars

If you were not a part of the jam-packed, wildly cheering crowd at Hill-Murray Field House Oct. 15, then you missed one of the very best volleyball matches between rivals that has been played since the inception of the sport over three decades ago.
The match went five games and provided everything that anyone could ever ask for from two well-matched adversaries.


Football: Tartan tops North, Hill-Murray runs roughshod over Richfield

The regular football season wrapped up Oct. 16 with the North Polars traveling to Titanville and dropping a 40-21 decision to archrival Tartan.
The Hill-Murray Pioneers ended the season on a winning note by running away from Richfield to the tune of a 48-7 romp.


Soccer: Hill-Murray sends both boys and girls soccer squads to state tournament action

Soccer fever has taken over Hill-Murray High School this October. Last week in Section 4A playoff action, the school’s girls and boys teams qualified for the Minnesota Class A state tournaments.
