Construction completed in downtown Lake Elmo

A ribbon cutting was held in downtown Lake Elmo the morning of Aug. 21 to mark the end of a five-year construction project to revitalize the downtown area.

During the annual Lake Elmo Huff n’ Puff weekend Aug. 12 and 13, the Lake Elmo Fire Department hosted an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast complete with sausage patties, orange juice and coffee.

A second apparent drowning death in the city of Lake Elmo this June


A young man died in Lake Jane June 15 of apparent drowning. According to lake-link.com, Lake Jane is about 153 square acres and 39 feet deep at its deepest point. Aundrea Kinney/Review

A June 15 fishing excursion on Lake Jane led to the appearent drowning death of a young man, and the rescue of two other men.
