As a part of the St. Paul Grand Round project, a two-mile trail will be constructed in 2020 along Johnson Parkway between Phalen Regional Park and Indian Mounds Regional Park, filling in missing pedestrian and bicycle connections.
A recent study finds that 52 percent of American households are at risk of not being able to carry their current lifestyle into retirement. This is an increase from an estimated 45 percent of households in a 2004 study.

The Rush Line bus rapid transit project will run between downtown St. Paul and White Bear Lake, using buses on dedicated lanes. A few stops — at Cook Avenue and Buerkle Road — were added following community input over the past few months.
As the Rush Line transit project continues though its environmental analysis and collects community input about stations, a few stops have been added to the route.
In a Jan. 18 press release, Hill Murray School on Larpenteur Avenue in Maplewood announced it received a $3.2 million gift from alumni. It’s the second largest gift in school history.

The fair’s new $16 million North End exhibit hall is currently under construction and will feature “museum-quality exhibits” during the fair.
The Minnesota State Fair announced Jan. 20 it was building a new $16 million exhibit hall on the North End of the fairgrounds and that it was increasing the price of admission by $1 for this year’s fair.
