The empty former city hall site on Seventh Avenue East in North St. Paul could be replaced with a three-story, 87-unit apartment complex with a restaurant on the first floor with outdoor seating.

It’s been a decade since the city began building the wind turbine towering over the North St. Paul electric utility building at 2400 Margaret St. 

In that time, the turbine has become a city icon.

South St. Paul council approves study to look at transferring library to county system

The South St. Paul City Council unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding with Dakota County on Feb. 19 to study transferring the South St. Paul Library to the county system.

County works on upping pedestrian safety after tragic crash on McKnight Road


courtesy of Google Maps Following a Jan. 4 crash that killed one pedestrian and critically injured another on McKnight Road near the Villages on McKnight apartments, Ramsey County engineers held a community meeting to discuss short-term and long-term changes to improve safety on the busy throughway.

Following a fatal crash at the beginning of January on McKnight Road, Ramsey County engineers met with the community Feb. 11 to talk about short-term and long-term changes to McKnight.
